Good-bye, Zoey!

So, the time has come. Zoey leaves tomorrow. We feel really good about where she is going. We're giving her to our awesome cousin and niece, Tori. She lives in AZ and they have a great yard and fence and they are going to put in a doggy door for her. Tori will love her and she will be a great addition to their family. We are a little sad to see her leave, but we are so excited for Tori and happy that we will still get to see Zoey once in a while! Carter, Emma, Jarrett and Eli saying good-bye.
Lexi and Jessie are so sad to see her go!
But, they were so excited to give her one last bath and take her on one last walk!

We Love You, Grandpa Pops!!

In April, while we were in Arizona, we had the chance to visit my grandpa, James Wilkinson. Growing up my brothers and sisters called him "Pops" and my kids call him Grandpa Pops. We had such a great visit with Pops and my Auntie Joan. No one would ever believe that he is 89 years old. He was so great to let the kids pick lemons from his trees and run around his house. We love you, Pops! Thanks for hosting us!

We're alive!

So, we spent a week between St. George and Peoria, AZ for spring break. We had the best time! The kids were great, the weather was perfect and the company couldn't have been better! Milo has an awesome family and it was so fun to spend time with 2 of his sisters and their kids! Thanks, for hosting us - we had a great time! I'll get some pictures of our trip up really soon!

So far, she stays!

Well, it looks like for now Zoey is going to stay. (We changed the spelling of her name.) We had her insides taken out today and she had a hernia that needed fixing so we took care of that, too. Tonight she is a little out of sorts and Lexi held her most of the night. We'll see how it goes. We're heading out of town for Spring Break tomorrow so for the next few night she and Barkley will be at the Doggie Hotel! Hope they have as much fun as we will!

Should she stay?

My confession is this: I have never really considered myself a dog person. I'm sure this is a big shock to most of you! =-) Maybe it is the few goldfish and turtles that we had as pets when I was kid that didn't fare too well. Maybe it is because ever since I was a little girl I have been terrified of big dogs. Maybe it is the fact that a puppy pees and poops on things. Maybe there a lot of reasons that I don't consider myself a dog person. BUT, we have our dog Barkley who the kids love and I like him, O.K. Until last night. Milo and the kids went to see our friends dog because they were wanting her to have a new home and they came home with her. So, now we are trying to decide if we are a 2 dog family or not. And, since I've never even considered myself a 1 dog family this might be a BIG stretch. But look at her! Isn't she adorable??!!?

Lexi is in heaven! Finally, a little sister!
Dalton with Zoe and Barkley. How cute are they?

Carter and Zoe. Carter has held this dog so much today. He really LOVES her!

Barkley and Zoe hanging out in the dog house!
They slept together last night and they play so cute together! Zoe has brought out such a funny, playful side of Barkley. It's been really fun!

Zoe is a Yorkie and she is a teacup. She weighs 3 lbs. and Barkley weighs 6.
Her birthday is May 3 and she will be 1!

Easter Sunday!

I love Easter time with the hope that Spring brings. The earth smells so good as it begins to dry out from the wet winter and it makes me happy to be outside and see the renewal of the earth.
And, remembering our Savior and His resurrection always makes me hopeful!

Where are you SUMMER??

The cold weather is starting to get to us. So, Carter and Jarrett decided to go swimming in the bathtub. They invited their friends Eli and Emma over to have some water fun!
Look at those happy faces! Jarrett and Emma had to have the colored water!
Eli and Carter went for the big tub! (And, yes. They do have their swimming suits on!)

Throw up!

Yesterday morning Dalton called from the school to tell us that he had been thrown up on by one of his classmates. Jarrett and I were at the Doctor, but luckily Milo was home to take the call. He rushed to the school with a clean shirt for Dalton. When he got there the Secretaries in the office told him that Dalton was a good sport and even mentioned feeling sorry for the girl in his class who was sick. He said, "I know how it feels to be sick so I feel bad for her." I don't know if I could be that compassionate after getting throw up on me! Dalton, you're a stud!!

"I'm a 'forgetter'!"

Today after church Jarrett was singing "Follow the Prophet" at the top of his voice. Milo asked Carter why he doesn't sing the song with Jarrett. Carter tells him he doesn't know the song. Milo then asks, "Don't you go to Primary? That is where Jarrett learned the song." And Carter responds, "Yeah, dad. But, I'm a forgetter."

Dog House

Jarrett loves Barkley, sometimes too much for Barkley's sake. One day
he was being a little too quiet so I went to find him and this is what I found!
Barkley doesn't seem too upset about it and Jarrett thought he was so funny!
